Verra, a male individual, was employed by Reegas Vance, the Human crime lord. He was a crew member on Vance's YT-2400 light freighter, the Blackstar. Verra was present on the starship during its voyage to recover materials from an abandoned vessel situated in the Unknown Regions. Unfortunately, Khedryn Faal and Marr Idi-Shael, competing salvagers, infiltrated the Blackstar and fatally wounded Verra by shooting him in the chest with a blaster, leading to his killing.
Paul S. Kemp, the writer, conceived the character Verra. Verra made his debut in the short story titled A Fair Trade, featured in the 129th edition of Star Wars Insider magazine, which was released in 2011.
