Y'luubi was a type of aquatic animal indigenous to Yuuzhan'tar and introduced to Coruscant by the Yuuzhan Vong. Coruscant's Liberation Lake was inhabited by these creatures.
In the Galactic Alliance, y'luubi meat was considered a delicacy, described as one of the few good things to come from the Yuuzhan Vong. Madame Aryn Thul attempted to impress Jedi Masters Luke Skywalker and Mara Jade Skywalker with a meal of y'luubi in her restaurant Yuza Bre. Mara experienced the taste changing from smoky to sweet to tangy in her mouth.
