A-7 steering system

The A-7 steering system was a particular type of steering system designed for speeder bikes. It allowed bikes to achieve a greater maximum turning angle than the typical central poise steering system. To upgrade an S57 Cardinal speeder bike, which was initially outfitted with the CP-0 steering system, to the A-7 steering system, it would cost 1500 credits and necessitate a H-M engine power core, fifteen units of polycarbonate, and eight helicyclic gears.

In 3 ABY, the scoundrel Kay Vess compensated a speeder mechanic for their labor to enhance her speeder bike by installing the A-7 steering system, while also providing the required components.

Behind the scenes

The A-7 steering system was featured as a speeder enhancement option in the 2024 video game, Star Wars Outlaws, which was created by Massive Entertainment and released by Ubisoft.
