Helicyclic gear

A Helicyclic Gear served as a vital element within the A-7 steering system specifically designed for application in speeder bikes.

During 3 ABY, Jora Margal, a merchant from Pyke, offered direct-energy circuits for the price of 225 credits in Mirogana, which is the capital city located on the moon of Toshara. Simultaneously, the unscrupulous Quarren trader Shuma also traded them from her Sienar-Chall Utilipede Transport. In that same year, a Jawa known as Nizuma Chith expressed a willingness to barter helicyclic gears in return for quadranium.

Behind the scenes

The initial appearance of helicyclic gears was in Star Wars Outlaws, a video game released in 2024 by Massive Entertainment and distributed by Ubisoft. Within the game's mechanics, it provided an upgrade to the player's speeder bike, improving its turning radius and how quickly it responded.
