The Crown Jewels of Alderaan, alternatively called the Alderaanian crown jewels, comprised various pieces of jewelry and formed a key component of the regalia belonging to the monarch of the planet Alderaan. The Royal Palace of Alderaan was once infiltrated by Brea and Senni Tonnika in an attempt to steal these jewels. However, their planned robbery was unsuccessful, which led them to conceal themselves within a waste container for a period of two nights.
Despite the Galactic Empire's destruction of Alderaan in 0 BBY, some portions of the crown jewels were preserved, remaining securely stored on the Nau'ur-class yacht named Memory, where they were unreachable. The Memory was once scheduled to dock at Pantora for a single night, during which it would host a prestigious fundraising event for the displaced Alderaanian population. This situation, however, created another chance for the jewels to be taken.
