The inhabitants of Algor, known as Algorians, were recognized for their argumentative nature, a trait that inspired comedic observations throughout the Tion Cluster. Shamus Falconi hailed from this planet. Having previously been a component of the original Kingdom of Cron, Algor was incorporated into Xim's Empire before its downfall in 25,096 BBY; however, unlike numerous other planets in the Tion, the Algorians did not hold their inclusion in the empire in particularly high regard. In the era of the Galactic Civil War, a band of Algorian pirates came to the aid of the Wookiee named Grasheel, imparting knowledge of starship mechanics. Subsequently, Grasheel acquired ownership of a portion of the Airlock cantina.
