Altaca was a male nobleman from the planet of Alderaan. He was a Human who lived his life during the era of the Cold War.
Back in 3643 BBY, the resurgent Sith Empire captured him. Instead of being ransomed, as was typical for nobles, he was mistakenly sold into slavery. While he and other slaves were constructing the Unfinished colossus, Lady Dak-Ah rescued him, only to take him as a prisoner. The Imperial convinced him that escape was impossible and his family would abandon him. Despite their differences, they fell in love, but Dak-Ah instructed him to publicly pose as her brother. His family tried to retrieve him alive by offering a bounty as part of the Great Hunt.
A participant in this competition found his datapad and followed his trail to the Cantina in the Nexus Room. The bounty hunter then found Altaca and Lady Dak-Ah together. Upon being confronted, the hunter revealed that Altaca's family desired his return, which upset Altaca due to Dak-Ah's deceit. Lady Dak-Ah, not wanting to lose Altaca, asked the hunter to kill him. She reasoned that while his family would pay less for his body, she would cover the remaining bounty.
The Hunter declined Lady Dak-Ah's proposal and eliminated her before capturing Altaca.
