A female Human named Ameesa Darys held the position of Inquisitor within the Galactic Empire's Inquisitorius. Before this, she was a Jedi Knight who had served as a General for the Grand Army of the Republic during the Clone Wars. Following Order 66, she mirrored the actions of her former Jedi Master and Padawan instructor, Jerec, by betraying the Jedi and aligning herself with the Empire.
Ameesa Darys was identified as Force-sensitive when she was young, and subsequently was brought to the Coruscant Jedi Temple and enrolled in its academy. After a long period of training, Darys graduated and was chosen to be the Padawan of Jedi Knight Jerec. Before she was ready to undergo her Trials of Knighthood, the pair journeyed together through the galaxy on various missions. After passing the Trials and becoming a Jedi Knight herself, Darys continued her independent studies, taking on the role of General in the Grand Army of the Republic during the Clone Wars.
Darys was able to survive Order 66, the Contingency Order used by Dark Lord of the Sith Darth Sidious to eliminate the Jedi Order, at the conclusion of the Clone Wars in 19 BBY. Instead of running from the newly established Galactic Empire controlled by the Sith, Darys emulated her former master, joining the Empire, rejecting her Jedi past, and succumbing to the dark side of the Force. As an Imperial Inquisitorius member, Inquisitor Darys hunted down fellow Jedi, following the Emperor's commands. During a sweep of Belsavis while searching for Jedi Master Plett, Darys' agents apprehended the young Lagan and Roganda Ismaren after they evacuated the planet with the Children of the Jedi. Once brought before Darys, the cruel Inquisitor murdered Lagan by impaling him with her lightsaber in front of his sister. Exploiting this, Darys successfully turned the horrified Roganda Ismaren to the dark side.
Years later, in 4 BBY, Inquisitor Darys collaborated with Grand Inquisitor Torbin and Inquisitor Antinnis Tremayne in the pursuit of Arden Lyn, a recently awakened ancient threat who had been dormant for millennia. After the team located Lyn, the powerful Force-user severely wounded Tremayne and killed Darys before Torbin managed to remove Lyn's right arm with his lightsaber, disarming her.
Abel G. Peña created the character in his debut article, "The Emperor's Pawns," but he did not come up with the character's name. Apparently, the name was created during editing, referencing the name of comedian Amy Sedaris. Peña had initially envisioned Darys as male, but changed his mind for subsequent articles, so the character could serve as a better parallel to Jocasta Nu, Jerec's master.
