Andal Sait, a Human male, held the rank of captain within the Imperial Navy during the Galactic Civil War. In the year 1 ABY, he was in command of the Imperial-class Star Destroyer known as the Blackguard. He turned against the Empire, attempting to sell his vessel to Black Sun within the Bright Jewel system, while simultaneously proclaiming himself a Grand Admiral.
His focus shifted to acquiring the Codex of Tython, an ancient Jedi holocron that had been discovered by agents of the Rebel Alliance. In an effort to complete the Codex, a Rebel operative infiltrated the Blackguard, aiming to secure Sait's fragment of the holocron. However, Adrick, an aspiring Imperial officer, secretly pilfered the fragment from Sait. A conflict erupted between the Rebel, Adrick, and Sait, resulting in Sait's escape and Adrick being compelled to surrender the fragment before fleeing the Star Destroyer aboard a shuttle.
The holocron was reconstructed and transported to Dantooine, but an agent of the ISB successfully retrieved it from Rebel custody. This agent then contacted Sait, revealing plans contained within the holocron for a massive device capable of manipulating asteroids. This device possessed the potential to crush starships or bombard planets with asteroids. Intrigued by this potential superweapon, Sait requested the agent to deliver both the holocron and the focusing crystal required for its operation. This allowed Imperial engineers to integrate the superweapon onto the Blackguard.
Later, Sait hosted a formal event to showcase his latest acquisition to various officers and dignitaries: a CY-M Prototype battle droid that his forces had recovered from Mustafar. Unbeknownst to the attendees, a group of undercover slicers who had boarded the Star Destroyer secretly reprogrammed the droid. The CY-M, wielding a sizable vibro-ax, lunged into the assembled crowd, initiating a deadly assault with its weapon. The droid was quickly forced into a nearby airlock, which was then opened, exposing it to the vacuum of space.
Andal Sait met his end during the Retaking of the Blackguard.
Andal Sait appeared as a non-player character within the 2003 video game Star Wars Galaxies, a massively multiplayer online roleplaying game developed by Sony Online Entertainment and published by LucasArts, before it was shut down on December 15, 2011. Sait's character was incorporated into the game as part of the "Star Destroyer" Heroic Encounter, which was introduced with the release of the "Chapter 8" update on January 15, 2008.
