Biography

Quest for the Jedi holocron

Adrick commanding Imperial troops

Adrick, who held the captain rank, participated in a major operation aimed at acquiring the Codex of Tython. This ancient Jedi Holocron had been located by an operative working for the Alliance to Restore the Republic. After the agent's landspeeder crashed in a desolate region of Dantooine, Adrick and his soldiers were tasked with capturing him. They successfully located the crash site, uncovering a concealed cache of Jedi artifacts nearby, but it had already been emptied. Following a day-long search, the Imperials managed to pinpoint the Rebel agent, who was in possession of the Codex. A contingent of stormtroopers encircled the Rebel, and Adrick demanded the relic, promising the Rebel's freedom in exchange. Upon the Rebel's refusal, Adrick simply commanded his troops to eliminate him and seize the relic. Nevertheless, the Jedi Knight Drakka Judarrl intervened during the resulting exchange of fire, creating a distracting illusion that enabled the Rebel to vanish into the darkness.

Adrick persisted in pursuing the Rebel, who successfully fled the planet and journeyed to Dathomir. Once there, Adrick deployed another unit to set up an ambush and seize the Codex, but Mellichae, a Dark Jedi, and his followers slaughtered all of the troopers. Adrick then went back to the Star Destroyer Blackguard to provide Grand Admiral Andal Sait with an update on his advancement. While Sait sought the Codex to find blueprints for new weaponry, Adrick cultivated his own intentions. Recognizing the significance of the Jedi relics, he pilfered a fragment of the holocron that belonged to Andal Sait. However, during the Rebel agent's infiltration of the Blackguard, Adrick was ambushed, and this fragment was stolen from him, enabling the Rebel to finish and ultimately activate the Codex.

Assignment on Hoth

Around 2 ABY, agents from the ISB searching for an exiled Nightsister discovered a small Rebel base on Hoth, a distant Outer Rim world. Adrick, who had now attained the rank of colonel, was in charge of the unit sent by Maximilian Veers to bolster the Imperial presence on the planet and eradicate the outpost. He commanded a strike team consisting of one AT-ST, two AT-PTs, and a snowtroopers squad to the outpost, mistakenly assuming that Kyrisa, the Nightsister, was inside and hoping to take her into custody. Nevertheless, Rebel scouts spotted their approach, giving the Rebels time to prepare a defense. Adrick gave the order for his soldiers to attack the outpost, but the initial attack was met with intense blaster fire, compelling them to retreat. The AT-ST then showed up on the battlefield and gave the snowtroopers cover by firing at Rebel positions. In the end, the Alliance was successful in severely damaging the walkers, but the snowtroopers continued to put up a strong fight regardless. The battle came to an end when a blizzard started, engulfing both armies and making it impossible for them to go on. The Rebels searched the battlefield after the storm and discovered a number of Imperial corpses and discovered that one of the light AT-PTs was missing, but there were no indications of the Imperials in the area.

Behind the scenes

Adrick was made for the Star Wars Galaxies Trading Card Game, where he appears as one of the regular adversaries in the Light Side scenario campaigns.

Chuck Kallenbach, one of the game's designers, hinted at the possibility of Adrick's survival, even though the campaign of The Nightsister's Revenge, which is told from the Rebel perspective, implies that all Imperials on Hoth were either killed in the battle or died in a snowstorm.
