Drakka Judarrl

Drakka Judarrl was a female Zabrak Jedi Padawan. Prior to the Great Jedi Purge, she was a member of the Jedi Order, but she and her Master fled the chaos. During the Galactic Civil War, she went into hiding on Dantooine, where she became the leader of the local Dantari tribes' resistance efforts.

Biography

The identity of Judarrl's Jedi Master remains a mystery. She only ever mentioned that "he became one with the Force a long time ago," that she was just a Padawan then, and that he was responsible for saving her life from the slaughter of the Jedi during the Great Purge. It can be assumed that the difficulties she faced during her escape and her subsequent survival acted as her Jedi Trials in practice, as she identified herself as a Jedi Knight. She also expressed fear that she was the only one left, although she stated that she "sensed the presence of a few others." However, her master had cautioned her to never use her Force powers, fearing that the agents of Emperor Palpatine would uncover her location.

Unfortunately, Darth Vader eventually tracked down her Master and killed him. However, Judarrl was able to escape with the assistance of a smuggler who had been helping her Master. She arrived on Dantooine around the time the Rebel base was initially established. She took refuge in the ruins of the Jedi Enclave, establishing her home in a secluded cave behind the waterfalls near the ruin. Her purpose in coming to Dantooine was to connect with the hidden Rebel base, learn about the state of the resistance, and contribute to the rebellion in any way she could. She assumed leadership of guerrilla warfare operations among the native Dantari tribes, working to disrupt the Empire's activities on Dantooine to the best of her ability.

While stationed there, she did meet with a Rebel operative, divulging details of her past before assigning them the mission of intercepting a squad of stormtroopers to prevent them from massacring numerous natives. The individual successfully completed the task and, upon returning to Judarrl, received another assignment: the rescue of the child of the Dantari chieftain, who had been assisting Judarrl, from the Imperials. The individual accepted this challenge and, after defeating the chieftain's Imperial guards, brought him to Judarrl, where they were once again informed of another task.

Later on, Judarrl received information that an Imperial named Luthik Uwyr had arrived on the planet and was in the process of organizing some of the natives into a lethal strike force by instructing them in the use of the dark side of the Force. She came to the conclusion that he had to be stopped before these agents of evil could spread their practices beyond the planet. The individual took on this mission as well, managing to slay a group of darksiders, and was rewarded by Judarrl with a blue holocron.

At some point, Drakka Judarrl also aided a Rebel agent in escaping from captain Adrick and his troopers by manipulating their minds. The Rebel had previously discovered the Codex of Tython, an ancient Jedi Holocron, which Judarrl's father had been searching for over many years. However, the Holocron was missing several fragments. Judarrl possessed one of these fragments, which she gave to the agent before sending them on a quest to complete the Holocron. After completing the mission, the rebels returned the Holocron to Drakka for study. After studying the ancient artifact, several Alliance agents stayed with the Jedi to protect it from enemy hands. However, she was killed when the Imperial Security Bureau launched an attack on the cave, and the holocron was recovered by an Imperial agent.

Behind the scenes

Drakka Judarrl can be found at the Jedi Temple Ruins in Star Wars Galaxies, where she provides a series of quests to Rebel-aligned players who seek her out. Furthermore, there is an agent of the Empire camped outside of the ruins as well, who gives Jedi-related quests to Imperial-aligned players. Drakka mentions the agent, Luthik Uwyr, in her dialogue, but he never mentions her. Instead, he asks the players to eliminate an untrained Padawan he has discovered some distance from the ruins, without any indication clarifying whether this Jedi was intended to be Drakka Judarrl.
