The Ankura, recognized by their more robust physique, shorter bill, hooded eyes, and haillu, represented one of the two primary races within the Gungan species. Although the slender and taller Otolla Gungans were more famous throughout the galaxy, the Ankura race was actually the older of the two. A prime example of a typical Ankura Gungan would be the stout Boss Rugor Nass, who is arguably one of the most recognizable Ankurans.
