Ann Nocenti is a writer, editor, and journalist who began her involvement with various Star Wars publications from Marvel Comics back in 1984. She is credited as an editor, alongside Louise Simonson, for Star Wars (1977) 84; subsequently, she took on the role of sole editor beginning with the following issue. Nocenti remained the editor of the series until its conclusion in 1986. Furthermore, she penned the story for Star Wars (1977) 89.
During Nocenti's tenure as editor, Randy Stradley, who would later become a Star Wars writer and editor at Dark Horse Comics, authored Star Wars (1977) 86 (1984). Following this, Nocenti requested that Stradley create another story, this time featuring Hoojibs. Stradley encountered significant challenges with this assignment and ultimately ceased his work for Marvel.
Currently, Nocenti's work has been mainly with DC Comics, and her most recent project was on their Catwoman comic book series.
