Annoo resistance

The Annoo resistance movement was a group opposing the Galactic Empire, operating on Annoo during the New Order's initial years and headed by Demma Moll. They fought not only the Empire, but also the growing power of criminal syndicates, most prominently the Fromm Gang.

Upon learning of the Fromm Gang's construction of a potent weapons platform, Trigon One, intended for seizing control over rival gangs, Demma tasked her daughter, Kea, with locating and obliterating Trigon One. Aided by speeder racers Thall Joben and Jord Dusat, along with their droids, R2-D2 and C-3PO, Kea infiltrated Tig Fromm's hidden base on Ingo and absconded with Trigon One.

While Joben concealed the weapons satellite within an Ingo forest, the Fromm Gang abducted Demma and Dusat from Demma Moll's Annoo farm. Joben conceded to reveal the satellite's location in return for their freedom. Tig Fromm proceeded to recover Trigon One, but Joben and R2-D2 had tampered with the guidance system, causing the vessel to crash into and demolish Sise Fromm's base on Annoo.

The demise of Trigon One resulted in the Fromms' financial collapse and the downfall of the Fromm Gang, a significant triumph for the burgeoning resistance.

Behind the scenes

In the Star Wars Droids episode "Escape Into Terror," C-3PO remarks, upon R2-D2 and C-3PO's discovery of Kea and Demma Moll's involvement in the resistance, that "Mistress Kea never told us she was part of the Rebel Alliance." However, it has been subsequently determined that the Rebel Alliance was not formed until the signing of the Corellian Treaty, occurring several years after the events depicted in Droids, rendering this statement inaccurate. Consequently, the actual name of the resistance movement during this period remains speculative.
