Anya was a female human residing with her family at the Saka homestead on the planet of Batuu. During a playtime session with her siblings, the enslaver known as Sampa Grott abducted Anya's brother. Subsequently, Anya's two sisters embarked on a search for their missing brother, only to be captured by Grott as well. Grieving the disappearance of her siblings, Anya recounted the events to a robed man, who crafted a wooden dagger for her and advised her to pursue them. Anya infiltrated Grott's home covertly, lying in wait until the slaver was asleep. Brandishing the wooden dagger, she menaced Grott, who, unable to discern Anya in the dark, was convinced by her assertion that she was an assassin dispatched to kill him. To spare his own life, Anya coerced Grott into releasing her siblings and departing from Batuu. Upon returning home, she discovered that Grott had complied with her demands, having liberated her siblings.
