Arbran lava snail

The Arbran lava snail hailed from Arbra, which was a planet covered in forests located in the Outer Rim Territories; the species was native to that world. These snails made their homes on the summits of Arbra's volcanoes. Due to their potential to be lethal when consumed as food, Arbran lava snails were prohibited by the time that the Galactic Republic and the reconstituted Sith Empire were engaged in their ongoing struggle.

However, in 3638 BBY, a clandestine restaurant that was known for serving illicit entrees sought to include the Arbran lava snail on its offerings, so someone connected to one of the factions involved in the war dispatched an associate to hunt for some of these creatures on Arbra.
