Arnet

Arnet was a veteran lieutenant and Imperial pilot of the AT-ST, and a male human. During the Battle of Hoth, he piloted the Walker Blizzard Scout 1, and he later piloted Tempest Scout 1 in the Battle of Endor.

Biography

As a veteran pilot of the AT-ST, Arnet was a human male who commanded the Imperial walker Blizzard Scout 1 in the Battle of Hoth during 3 ABY, as part of General Veers' Blizzard Force. A large portion of Blizzard Force was destroyed in the conflict by Alliance snowspeeders, including the AT-AT Walkers Blizzard 2 and Blizzard 4. Though a tactical victory for the Imperials, the battle ended as a strategic failure.

By 4 ABY, Arnet had achieved the rank of lieutenant and piloted the AT-ST walker Tempest Scout 1. Tempest Scout 1 was stationed near the Endor shield generator bunker after the ambush, which protected the Death Star II Imperial battlestation under construction. Arnet was given the assignment of coordinating the counterattack in the Battle of Endor. The battle, however, resulted in an Alliance victory.

Personality and traits

Arnet was a male human who had light skin.

Equipment

Arnet wore a gray jumpsuit as an AT-ST pilot, as well as a dark green and black helmet complete with goggles and a chinstrap.

Behind the scenes

The character card for Arnet in the 1999 Endor Limited expansion set of Decipher's Star Wars Customizable Card Game first established his name, which was simultaneously mentioned in the text for a card representing his AT-ST, Tempest Scout 1, which was released in the same set.

While the Tempest Scout 1 card identifies the walker as one of the AT-STs that appeared at the start of the Battle of Endor in the 1983 movie Star Wars: Episode VI Return of the Jedi, it's difficult to determine if the actor playing the walker's occupant is the same one used for the "Lieutenant Arnet" CCG card. Because the "Tempest Scout 1" card doesn't identify the person as Arnet, this article treats the "Lieutenant Arnet" and "Tempest Scout 1" cards from the Customizable Card Game as the first officially licensed Star Wars products to introduce the character, rather than linking Arnet to the Return of the Jedi movie actor.
