As an enforcer for Vigo Darnada, Asa Naga was affiliated with the Black Sun organization.
During his time serving as Darnada's enforcer, Asa Naga, along with his partner Gargachykk, encountered Darth Maul inside a hangar while they were hunting down a debtor. Unaware of the Zabrak's true identity and objective, he was convinced to guide Maul to the Vigo. When Maul initiated the slaughter of the Black Sun guards, Naga attempted to fire upon Maul, but he found himself unable to pull the trigger. Darth Maul spared him, making him the sole survivor of the massacre and, shortly thereafter, the destruction of Deep Space Demolition and Removal.
Naga escaped to Ralltiir aboard a stolen vessel to deliver news of the attack to Alexi Garyn, the leader of Black Sun. He was unaware that Darth Maul had intentionally allowed him to live so that he could be tracked back to the Black Sun leadership. Alexi Garyn sacrificed him to Maul in a hopeless effort to gain time to escape the Massacre. Because there were no visible lightsaber wounds on Naga's body, it is possible that he was crushed against the bars that Garyn used to try and stop Maul, or it's also possible he died from a heart attack caused by terror as Maul eliminated everyone else present.
