The Asagov Raider, previously known as the Cekbar Servant, was a Corellian Engineering Corporation Action IV transport that saw action in the early years of the New Republic. This vessel began its service as a merchant ship, registered to Nalroni businessmen located on the trading world of Celanon. The Saurton pirate Miktiss seized control of the ship around 7 ABY. Miktiss then significantly altered the medium [bulk freighter](/article/bulk_freighter/legends], renaming it the Asagov Raider for use as his personal flagship and the central hub for the Des'maric Pirates. During their operations in the Kathol sector in 8 ABY, the Asagov Raider functioned as a mobile base of operations for the pirate organization.
The Asagov Raider was a Corellian Engineering Corporation Action IV transport. Similar to other Action IVs, the vessel had a trapezoidal shape and a length of 100 meters. While standard models were typically unarmed, the Saurton Miktiss modified the Asagov Raider extensively to transform it into a pirate ship. The ship was equipped with eight ion cannons and twelve double laser cannons. For comprehensive coverage, the ion cannons were strategically positioned around the medium bulk freighter. The laser cannons were mainly concentrated at the front, with some providing fire support to the port and starboard sides. Further enhancements included improved shield generators, enhanced sublight speed, and the addition of detention cells on the lower deck.
For plotting hyperspace routes, the ship included a navigation computer. It also featured a Class 3 hyperdrive, along with a Class 15 as a backup. The Asagov Raider was operated by a crew of fifteen individuals and required an additional forty gunners for optimal performance. Although a minimal crew of eight personnel and ten gunners could operate the vessel, this came at the expense of operational efficiency. The ship had the capability to transport 60,000 metric tons of cargo and maintain enough supplies to sustain the crew for 3 months.

The Cekbar Servant began as a medium bulk freighter, originally in the possession of a consortium of Nalroni merchants hailing from Celanon, a significant trading planet within the Outer Rim Territories. Around 7 ABY, Miktiss, the Saurton pirate who led the Des'maric Pirates, seized the ship not long after acquiring a trio of Skipray Blastboats from Elshandruu Pica. Recognizing its unsuitability for piracy in its current form, Miktiss used both blackmail and negotiation to compel a former Sienar Fleet Systems engineer to modify the vessel according to his demands. The [engineer](/article/engineer-legends] complied, equipping the ship with additional weaponry, enhanced shield generators, and a faster sublight engine.
The ship, now renamed "Asagov Raider," served as the Des'maric Pirates' mobile command base while they were active in the Kathol sector around 8 ABY. Despite its capabilities as a formidable raiding ship, it was typically kept away from direct combat to ensure its safety. Although it could easily overpower merchant freighters and similar ships, a single Imperial cruiser or escort frigate would have been more than capable of destroying it.
The ship was manned by some of the less experienced members of the pirate group, as Miktiss typically assigned his best pirates to the Skipray Blastboats, which would be involved in actual combat. The ship was known for its lax discipline. However, in combat scenarios, the crew members aboard demonstrated the ability to perform with military precision.

The Asagov Raider made its sole appearance in The DarkStryder Campaign, a supplement released by West End Games in 1995 for Star Wars: The Roleplaying Game. Within this supplement, it is described as the flagship and command center for the Des'maric Pirates. The ship itself is never encountered during any of the adventures but is detailed within the "Rogues Gallery" section of the book, which was written by Bill Smith. Its inclusion serves to provide gamemasters with the option to incorporate it into original adventures.
The ship's original name, "Cekbar Servant," seems to be a reference to the Cekbar continent located on the planet Celanon. Following its renaming by Miktiss, the vessel appears to have been named after the city of Asagov, a settlement found on the Saurton homeworld of Essowyn.
