While they were a student at the University of Bar'leth, Kho Phon Farrus dedicated time to studying the Ascendant; Sava Iglan'tine Nos claimed that Farrus produced the most accurate student rendering of the mantra in her course. Sometime between 3 ABY and 4 ABY, Farrus went back to the university seeking the Spark Eternal, an Ascendant relic, and thought that locating the Unyielding Heart was a necessary step in order to fully complete the Ascendant's Mantra. As Nos guided Farrus toward the Unyielding Heart, she requested that Farrus repeat their interpretation of the mantra aloud. Once Farrus articulated their translation, the sava inquired about its significance, and Farrus explained that it provided directions for a specific ritual. Subsequently, Farrus wondered if it functioned similarly to a spell designed to invoke the Spark Eternal.
