Asha was a Human female residing on the planet of Naboo. Obi-Wan Kenobi, upon encountering her, perceived a unique quality suggesting a potential connection to the Force.
During the Naboo Crisis instigated by the Trade Federation, Asha served as a palace servant for Queen Amidala. While in the palace kitchen, she found herself pursued by battle droids. Obi-Wan Kenobi, a Jedi Padawan attempting to rescue the Queen from being taken to Camp Four by the Trade Federation, intervened and saved her. Kenobi sensed a special quality about her, indicating a possible Force sensitivity. In return for his help, Asha aided Kenobi in reaching the throne room by cracking the security doors. However, Kenobi's arrival at the throne room was too late to save the Queen. Despite this, he and his Jedi Master, Qui-Gon Jinn, successfully rescued her as she was being escorted to Camp 4.
In the Queen's absence, Asha rose to become a leader within the Naboo Resistance. Upon the Queen's decision to reclaim Naboo, Asha reunited with Kenobi. She tasked the Jedi with freeing Naboo starfighter pilots held captive by the Trade Federation's battle droids. Kenobi then escorted the pilots to Asha and the Resistance, who were engaged in combat with battle droids. Subsequently, she dispatched Kenobi to destroy the turbolaser cannon to ensure the safe takeoff of the pilots.
Grey DeLisle provided the voice for Asha in the video game Star Wars: Obi-Wan released in 2001.
