After escorting the Queen back to Naboo from her appeal to the Galactic Senate, the Jedi Knight known as Obi-Wan Kenobi embarked on a rescue mission within the city of Theed. This operation unfolded during the Invasion of Naboo in the year of 32 BBY, carefully executed under the veil of night. Asha, a former servant who rose to lead the Naboo Resistance, reached out to Kenobi with a request: to liberate several captured Security Force pilots imprisoned within the Palace Observatory. Kenobi's journey commenced near the Theed Royal Palace, where he defended himself against attacking B1-series battle droids. Following the disabling of the alarm system, he confronted E4 baron droids. Subsequently, Kenobi traversed the bridge leading to the Observatory, eliminating a pair of Trade Federation assassin droids. He successfully rescued the pilots, with their squad leader pledging allegiance to the Resistance. Kenobi then retraced his path, guiding the pilots back towards the Palace. Along the way, Kenobi defeated additional droids, including bomb droids. Upon nearing the Palace, Kenobi joined forces with the resistance to combat two more baron droids, thus concluding his mission. The following day, Kenobi and the pilots actively participated in the battle to retake Theed.
In the year of 32 BBY, Obi-Wan Kenobi, a Jedi Knight, initiated a rescue operation inside the city of Theed, which was under the control of the Trade Federation. He collaborated with the Naboo Resistance under the direction of Asha. Kenobi's objective was to free Security Force pilots who were being held captive as prisoners of war by the invading battle droid forces in the Palace Observatory.
Kenobi's mission began close to the waterfall of the Theed Royal Palace, and he proceeded upwards to the next level. He engaged and defeated a contingent of B1-series battle droids, and then used his lightsaber to cut through and disable the alarm system.
Once he reached the streets, he found himself under heavy fire from two repeater cannons. He maneuvered around the cannons, eliminating the droids operating them. As he continued toward the observatory, he encountered two E4 baron droids along with a squad of OOM security battle droids. He then crossed the bridge that connected the Palace to the Observatory, where he eliminated the battle droids present, as well as two Trade Federation assassin droids. He also utilized a sniper rifle to take out droid snipers positioned at the top of the Observatory. Kenobi then jumped and infiltrated the Observatory through a side window, where he eliminated the droids guarding the six pilots. He deactivated the force field that was holding them captive, and the squad leader expressed his willingness to assist him. The pilots remained behind as Kenobi retraced his steps back toward the Palace. On the bridge, Kenobi engaged in combat with two more assassin droids. Subsequently, the pilots advanced to the courtyard, where Kenobi battled additional battle droids, supported by bomb droids. With these threats neutralized, Kenobi led the pilots back in the direction of the Palace. They then waited while Kenobi fought two more assassin droids and bomb droids. Kenobi then linked up with the Naboo Resistance to engage in combat near the Palace, aiding them in taking out two baron droids. With the mission successfully completed, Asha commended the young Jedi.
The following day, Kenobi, Asha, and the pilots took part in the battle to retake Theed, during which Kenobi played a vital role in destroying a quad turbolaser cannon.
This particular battle is depicted in the 2001 video game titled Star Wars: Obi-Wan, specifically during the game's fifth chapter.
