The Astenban camp existed as a lunar installation on the moon of Astenban. In the year 229 BBY, Jedi Master Savina Besatrix Malagán foresaw that the Nihil pirates would try to seize the outpost. Because of this, she resolved to embark on a mission to prevent them from claiming it. Not long after Malagán's arrival at Astenban, the Nihil materialized and commandeered the camp. Subsequently, she managed to obliterate the base through the use of explosives.
