During the time of the Yuuzhan Vong War, the Yuuzhan Vong species, acting as invaders, assaulted the Kuat system. This offensive against Galactic Alliance shipyards was initiated by the Yuuzhan Vong as a consequence of the unsuccessful Operation Trinity that occurred in 29 ABY. The initial targets were the Hakassi and Kuat shipyards. The planet of Kuat was conquered by the Yuuzhan Vong not long after a visit from Pwoe, the self-declared Chief of State. Throughout the invasion, the Vong successfully captured numerous affluent and powerful families originating from Corulag, who had escaped their conquered home. Following their victories at Kuat and Hakassi, the Yuuzhan Vong proceeded to Dac and launched an attack on the Mon Calamari Orbital Shipyards.
