Around the year 3642 BBY, amidst the Cold War, the newly reformed Sith Empire launched an assault on the Valor-class cruiser called Fortitude. This ship, Fortitude, was being used as a meeting location for the separatist faction known as the Rift Alliance. The Jedi Order's newly appointed Barsen'thor came to the rescue of the Rift Alliance members.
In the wake of the assault, Sammel Yane, the Imperial ambassador and attache assigned to Coruscant, issued a brief declaration. He asserted that the Empire had no active operations within the Tammuz sector, suggesting that the attackers, who were led by the Sith Arrax, were merely "rogue elements." Because of this, he stated the Empire should not be held responsible for their actions.
