During the conflict known as the Nagai–Tof War, the Nagai initiated an offensive against the Mephout system. The Nagai's raiding forces set their sights on the Mephout Dominion's governing body. This sector in Wild Space was secluded and had not yet formally pledged allegiance to the Alliance of Free Planets at the time.
