Bad Batch Theme

The "Bad Batch Theme", used to signify Clone Force 99, was created collaboratively by Deana and Sean Kiner. The City of Prague Philharmonic Orchestra performed it for the seventh season of the television show Star Wars: The Clone Wars. This theme, initially made available on February 21, 2020, is heard throughout that season and also in Star Wars: The Bad Batch. In episodes of The Bad Batch, it plays during the end credits, followed by Omega's theme. Dave Filoni informed Deana, Sean, and Kevin Kiner that Clone Force 99 was a group of outcasts, similar to those in The Dirty Dozen (1967). As a result, the composers drew inspiration by viewing the war movies The Dirty Dozen, The Guns of Navarone (1961), and Kelly's Heroes (1970), and listening to the music in those films. The composers then took the element of misfits from those films and incorporated it into the theme for The Bad Batch. The opening measure of the Bad Batch Theme bears a resemblance to the main theme of The Guns of Navarone, which was composed by Dimitri Tiomkin.
