Banfoden Prime, a planet similar to Earth, existed as an astronomical body. It was the location of an uprising that was quelled by Jedi Padawan Rooper Nitani sometime in the period spanning from approximately 389 BBY to around 379 BBY. Not long before she undertook her Jedi Trials in approximately 379 BBY, Nitani reflected on the quelling of the Banfoden Prime uprising as she considered the obstacles she had overcome and the knowledge she had gained in recent years.
The short story "Shield of the Jedi," penned by George Mann and featured in the 2023 young-adult collection The High Republic: Tales of Light and Life, referenced Banfoden Prime; the anthology itself was a component of the Star Wars: The High Republic transmedia initiative.
