Banshee Squadron was a squadron of TIE/ln space superiority starfighters that operated within the Galactic Empire's starfleet. Following closely on the heels of Alderaan's destruction, the Banshees found themselves assigned to the Solar Storm, an Imperial-class Star Destroyer. While assigned, the squadron participated in the Battle of Phindar, where two of their pilots were killed.
Following their mission debriefing, Bruiser, Heiwei Akrone, and a pair of other Banshee pilots went to Zero Angle, a cantina located at the Bright Jewel Oversector Flight Base. While still there, in conversation with members of Nashtah Squadron, Wing Commander Weller made an announcement: the Death Star battle station had been destroyed, and all current affiliations with the Army and Navy were cancelled.
