During 7 ABY, Wraith Squadron, while masquerading as the Hawk-bat Independent Space Force, selected the ship as a target for their pirate operations. "General Kargin" successfully intoxicated the Barderia's navigator, thereby discovering the vessel's planned route. The Wraiths demonstrated sufficient skill to twice board the vessel and seize preferred goods, initially within an unidentifed system, and subsequently just beyond Halmad. Wedge Antilles and "Kargin," utilizing the stolen TIE Interceptors, inflicted damage upon the ship's engines, communications antenna, and weapons systems, yet they also transmitted a distress signal for the ship after they left.
