Baritha

Baritha was a Dathomirian female who played a key role as one of the initial founders of the Nightsisters on the planet of Dathomir. She acted as the right-hand woman to the leader Gethzerion until the Singing Mountain Clan brought about the Nightsisters' downfall.

Biography

After Baritha and Gethzerion's failed assassination attempt on the Clan mother, Augwynne, they were both banished from the Singing Mountain Clan of Dathomir. While wandering Dathomir, the exiled pair encountered a small group of former clan sisters who sought to eliminate them. The outcasts prevailed, choosing to spare the life of one in exchange for a promise of unwavering service. This marked the genesis of the Nightsisters.

During the Galactic Civil War, Baritha resided in the Nightsister Stronghold located on Dathomir. It was during this time that she enlisted the aid of an explorer to deliver two Imperial officers to her for her personal enjoyment. She also sought to capture a Nightsister who had reformed.

Four years following the Battle of Endor, Han Solo and Leia Organa made their way to Dathomir. Baritha employed a mind trick on Solo, with the intention of extracting the location of the Millennium Falcon. She remarked that he appeared "tasty" from behind and even attempted to enslave him. Shortly thereafter, Baritha was presumed dead during the Battle of Dathomir, though some members of New Republic Intelligence hold a different belief, as her remains were never recovered.

Baritha was also the aunt of Damaya.

Behind the scenes

Prior to its shutdown on December 15, 2011, Baritha existed as a non-player character within the video game Star Wars Galaxies, a massively multiplayer online role-playing game that was developed by Sony Online Entertainment and published by LucasArts.
