Barons Hed Lagoon

The Barons Hed Lagoon represented a man-made water feature situated within the city of Barons Hed, found on the moon known as Sulon. This lagoon was centrally located in a plaza and was replenished by a cascading waterfall. Constructed as a sizable stone basin, the Barons Hed Lagoon lacked any plant life or creatures, with the exception of several drugons. Despite its proximity to a constructed river that exited the city, the lagoon remained unconnected, set apart by a dividing wall. The lagoon's perimeter was bordered by various residences, a tavern, and the House of Max. A bridge offered passage from the side where these buildings stood to the opposite side of the lagoon, which housed the entrance to a sprawling bazaar.

During the year 5 ABY, Kyle Katarn, an apprentice Jedi, engaged in combat with bounty hunters who had taken over Barons Hed. He was searching for an entry point into the Government House, a substantial structure serving as the headquarters for the local branches of the Galactic Empire. Katarn killed the bounty hunters positioned around the lagoon, being careful not to fall into the drugon-filled waters.

Behind the scenes

The Barons Hed Lagoon made its debut in the video game Star Wars: Jedi Knight: Dark Forces II as a location featured in the game's fifth level. While unnamed within the game itself, its name was provided in the game's official strategy guide. Rick Barba, the guide's author, advised players to avoid the lagoon due to the drugons residing there. This article operates under the assumption that the player heeded the guide's advice, eliminating the surrounding bounty hunters while steering clear of the drugons.
