A drinking establishment was operational on the satellite Sulon of a planet during the year 5 ABY. This establishment, situated within the city known as Barons Hed, was positioned along the edge of the Barons Hed Lagoon and employed a Human who worked as a bartender. On one occasion, this tavern became the site of an incident involving five individuals of the Gran species; after placing their orders, they engaged in a dispute over payment, leading to a violent brawl. Following the death of two Gran, the aspiring Jedi Kyle Katarn entered the tavern and eliminated the remaining combatants.
A tavern existed on the moon called Sulon, specifically in the city of Barons Hed, constructed directly on the periphery of the Barons Hed Lagoon. A Human bartender was employed at the tavern, which served as a popular spot for city inhabitants seeking refreshments. From the exterior, the structure presented as a gray, largely plain building, featuring three horizontal indentations and a rectangular window situated above a rectangular entrance. The door was lined with bronze and adorned with carved glyphs. Notably, the tavern was integrated into a building complex that also included apartments and the House of Max. A staircase provided access to the upper levels of the apartments, leading to a balcony patio that was situated above the tavern.
The tavern's interior was basic, furnished only with a wooden bar that extended along one wall, stopping just short of the opposite wall. An alcove behind the bar featured a decorative pattern and contained three personal shield charges. The walls were stone-gray, and the floor was tiled. The ceiling, also gray, had support beams running the length of the establishment.
By the year 5 ABY, the tavern was already established, at a time when Barons Hed had become a refuge for bounty hunters working for the Galactic Empire. On one occasion, a group of five Gran bounty hunters entered the tavern seeking drinks. When Shmorg offered to cover the tab, another Gran countered with an offer to pay instead. This disagreement escalated into a violent brawl. As the fight erupted, the bartender attempted to discourage the use of blasters.
After two of the Gran perished during the confrontation, Kyle Katarn, a New Republic Jedi trainee, intervened and brought the brawl to an end by killing all of the remaining Gran when they attempted to attack him. Before departing, Katarn took the tavern's stock of shield units.
The tavern made its debut in the 1997 video game Star Wars: Jedi Knight: Dark Forces II, serving as a location in the game's fifth level. The tavern encounter is optional and can be bypassed without any negative consequences. If the player chooses to visit the tavern, Rick Barba, the author of Star Wars: Jedi Knight: Dark Forces II: The Official Strategy Guide, suggests allowing the Gran to eliminate two of their own before engaging the survivors and looting the tavern for supplies.
