A combat engagement transpired on the fringe of the Hosnian system amidst the Galactic Civil War, occurring concurrently with the Battle of Endor. This clash involved the Galactic Empire against the Rebel Alliance. Rebel Alliance vessels, including at a minimum two MC75 Star Cruisers, namely the Accordance and the [Temperance] (/article/temperance), successfully fended off an unexpected assault on the Core Worlds orchestrated by an Imperial armada. While the Accordance was obliterated, the Temperance managed to save some surviving crew members.
In the year 4 ABY, as the Galactic Civil War raged, the MC75 Star Cruisers known as the Accordance and the Temperance were stationed within the Core Worlds. Their mission was to defend the Hosnian system, and it was there that they encountered an Imperial armada.
Simultaneous with the Battle of Endor, the Imperial armada initiated a surprise offensive against the Core Worlds, engaging the two MC75 Star Cruisers in intense combat. During this confrontation, the Accordance met its end, but the Temperance successfully rescued the survivors. Furthermore, the Temperance achieved victory against the attacking armada.
Subsequently, the Temperance assumed the role of flagship for Vanguard Squadron and was briefly placed under the command of General Hera Syndulla. Additionally, the Temperance rendered service within the New Republic Defense Fleet.
