Battle of Columus (Galactic Civil War)

A significant conflict unfolded on the planet of Columus during the period known as the Imperial Skirmishes. This battle represented a last-ditch effort by the Moff Council, along with the replacement warlords, to shift the momentum of the Galactic Civil War in their favor.

Simultaneously, as the Imperial Remnant under the command of Gilad Pellaeon sought to expand its influence within the Inner Rim through the Battle of Champala, Daala's replacement warlords were engaged in an attempt to break free from the confines of the Deep Core. Their alliance proved fragile, however, and Garm Bel Iblis spearheaded a series of campaigns with the New Republic Fourth Fleet, successfully reclaiming territory from them.

Admiral Daala launched an assault on the New Republic Fourth Fleet at Columus. Bel Iblis devised a plan to capture Daala on her flagship, the Scylla, by utilizing a pair of CC-7700 frigates equipped with gravity well projectors. In response, Daala ordered the Scylla to ram the lead CC-7700, resulting in its destruction and enabling her escape into hyperspace.

The Scylla managed to evade capture by executing a blind jump into hyperspace, and Daala's whereabouts remained unknown for at least two decades following this event.
