Replacement warlord

The successors to the warlords were a group of Imperial warlords located in the Deep Core who came to power after Admiral Daala executed thirteen Imperial warlords in 12 ABY. These individuals would eventually establish the Second Imperium.

History

Successors

These replacement warlords took control in the Deep Core after Admiral Natasi Daala killed thirteen of the most influential Imperial warlords at Tsoss Beacon in 12 ABY, which then resulted in the Imperial Reunification and the formation of the Imperial Remnant. Although they generally lacked the strategic skill and resources of their predecessors, they made up for it with extreme brutality and oppression.

The group of replacement warlords included Moffs Foga Brill, Jmanuel Tethys, Bliss Shargael, and Grand Moff Cinzero Gann. Following his involvement in the Almanian Uprising, Brakiss became a neutral power broker among them.

Following her victory over Moff Getelles' forces in 13 ABY, Daala returned to the Deep Core and took command of a coalition of these warlords, with plans to launch attacks into New Republic territory. Following the conclusion of the Black Fleet Crisis in 17 ABY, Imperial survivors from Black Sword Command fled to Emperor Palpatine's throneworld, Byss. Discovering that the planet had been destroyed years prior, some defected to the New Republic, while others joined the Imperial Remnant and other Imperial factions. Four Victory-class Star Destroyers reinforced the Deep Core warlords.

In 17 ABY, the Council of Moffs of the Imperial Remnant secretly contacted Admiral Daala to initiate a combined offensive against the New Republic. However, the infighting warlords could not present a unified front, even under Daala's leadership, and the New Republic's Fourth Fleet, under General Garm Bel Iblis, launched a series of devastating attacks on their perimeter. In the Battle of Columus, Bel Iblis defeated Daala, forcing her flagship to flee into hyperspace, where its fate remained unknown. The Imperial Remnant was then compelled to negotiate a peace treaty with the New Republic two years later. However, the replacement warlords refused to accept these agreements. They broke away from the official Imperial Remnant and later reorganized themselves into the Second Imperium.

The Second Imperium

In 18 ABY, Moff Brill, the leader of the Constitutional Protectorate of Prakith, was assassinated on his fortress world of Prakith by Lando Calrissian and his commandos.

The New Republic and the New Jedi Order ultimately defeated the Second Imperium in 23 ABY. By the time of the Yuuzhan Vong War, the New Republic had finally eliminated their enemies from the Deep Core.
