Battle of Lucazec
The clash known as the Battle of Lucazec unfolded in the Lucazec system during 13 ABY. It was a confrontation between the forces of the Imperial Remnant and the New Republic.
Contextual Information
After the New Republic's triumph over Moff Getelles in the Antemeridian sector, they advanced through the neutral territory of the Borderland Regions, heading towards the Hydian Way, which marked the boundary of Imperial Space. Alarmed by the changing balance of power in the region, the Moffs of the Imperial Remnant instructed Admiral Gilad Pellaeon to redeploy his fleet across the Hydian Way. Diverted from his ongoing campaign targeting Adumar, Pellaeon led his forces to engage the New Republic.
Combat Engagement
A segment of the Imperial military launched an assault on New Republic units within the Barison system, while another Imperial detachment confronted the Republic's forces in the Lucazec system. The Empire emerged as the victor, inflicting significant losses on the New Republic.
Subsequent Events
Having secured victory at Lucazec, the Imperial forces pressed on to the Quell system, where they ultimately suffered defeat.
