Battle of Mandalore (pre-Naboo)

The conflict known as the Battle of Mandalore transpired sometime in the period between 52 BBY and 32 BBY. Vrox, the Governor of the planet Mandalore, had dispatched his Mandalorian Armed Forces to conduct raids on star systems bordering Mandalore. Furthermore, he was under suspicion of manufacturing illicit war droids. Consequently, the Galactic Republic deployed a contingent of the Republican Army, accompanied by several Jedi Knights, to Mandalore with the mission of apprehending Vrox. Instead of initiating a planetary bombardment, the Republic forces disabled the Mandalorian planetary defenses and commenced a ground invasion, prioritizing the minimization of civilian casualties and damage to the capital city. Conversely, Vrox readily employed artillery strikes against the Republic forces within the capital once the battle's tide turned against him. These strikes inflicted the majority of the devastation and fatalities in the city before the Republic could neutralize the artillery.

Following this, the majority of Mandalorian forces met defeat, prompting Vrox to abandon his fortified estate. He sought to evade capture by Republic forces and attempted to flee the planet aboard his personal staryacht. To buy time for his ship's departure, he tasked a unit of elite Mandalorian commandos, led by Commander Janx Ferro, with delaying the Republic troops. During this engagement, the Mandalorians launched an assault, resulting in the death of Lieutenant Weirs. Nevertheless, the Republic forces overcame the Mandalorian resistance and ultimately apprehended Vrox, thereby concluding the battle.
