Vrox

Vrox held the position of governor on Mandalore prior to the Clone Wars era. Even when Palpatine was still serving as a senator, Vrox secretly backed him. Fenn Shysa's remarks suggest Vrox might have known about Palpatine's double life as both a Senator and a Dark Lord of the Sith. Sometime before the Clone Wars, Vrox sanctioned raids conducted by Mandalorians on neighboring systems, with the purpose of looting valuables and wealth. When a Republican Army task force, supported by Jedi soldiers, tried to stop these raids, Vrox commanded his troops to fight the Galactic Republic army. He showed little regard for civilian deaths, even instructing his own forces to deploy siege weapons to eliminate the forces located in the Mandalorian capital. The resulting Battle of Mandalore was extremely violent, ending in the near destruction of the Mandalorian military and Vrox's capture.
