The Battle of Svivren represents a conflict involving the Galactic Empire, the Svivreni resistance, and the Black Nebula. It transpired shortly before the well-known Battle of Endor.
In the year 4 ABY, a crime lord named Dequc sought to engage in negotiations with other criminals, aiming to establish a fresh criminal organization called the Black Nebula. During this period, the Galactic Empire struggled to effectively address both criminal activity and rebellion on the planet Svivren. Cevva Xuz, a criminal with connections to the Rebel Alliance, prospered on Svivren alongside the Svivreni resistance. Dequc made the decision to visit Svivren and begin conducting operations there. However, Emperor Palpatine dispatched Mara Jade, one of the Emperor's Hands, to Svivren with the specific instruction to assassinate Dequc, as he was better protected at his original base.

Jade made contact with the local Imperial garrison, which was under the command of General Touno, identifying herself as an Imperial operative and requesting assistance in capturing Xuz. This was a ruse, as her true objective was to target Dequc while the Imperials and Rebels were engaged in conflict. Touno assigned a number of stormtroopers and Captain Strok (who was secretly working for the Black Nebula) to apprehend Xuz. Because Strok was on Dequc's payroll, he informed his actual employer, leading Dequc to depart and leave a decoy in his place. Strok demanded Xuz's surrender from the center of the street. Xuz's Rebel forces responded by opening fire on the stormtroopers. In the meantime, Jade eliminated Dequc's decoy. The battle resulted in the deaths of numerous stormtroopers and civilians. Subsequently, Jade piloted a spacecraft and departed from Svivren. Strok was also compelled to leave the planet shortly thereafter.
Despite believing that her mission had been a success, Mara Jade later realized that her target had been a decoy and that Dequc was still alive. She ultimately executed him several months later, following the death of her master, The Emperor, during the Battle of Endor.
