A clash occurred within the Randon system in 3962 BBY. This engagement was a component of the Mandalorian Wars, a war between the Galactic Republic and the Mandalorian Neo-Crusaders. The impetus for this battle was the Mandalorian's operation to seize the Core World known as Duro. This operation, dubbed "Mandalorian Triumph," involved a two-pronged assault. One offensive began in the Dernatine system inside Hutt Space, which they had captured the previous year, and progressed through the Charros system. At Randon, this segment of their advance towards the Core Worlds was stopped, as the Republic successfully defended the system. Conversely, the alternative part of the Mandalorian Triumph achieved its objective, resulting in Duro's capture.
The 2009 reference work, The Essential Atlas, authored by Daniel Wallace and Jason Fry, included a reference to the Randon system battle.
