Beam splitter

Similar to how the barrel modification on a blaster rifle affects its spread, beam splitters operated by altering the galven-pattern. This involved meticulously integrating at least three emitters into a honeycomb structure within the standard blaster barrel. Rather than producing a concentrated blaster bolt, weapons using a beam splitter fired shots that dispersed into a less powerful spread, allowing a single shot to potentially hit several enemies. The price of a beam splitter was 1,250 credits.

Troopers famously employed beam splitters to convert firearms into potent suppression weapons, useful for containing enemy troops and securing bottlenecks in confined starship passageways. Furthermore, beam splitters found application on starfighters like the Delta-7 Aethersprite-class light interceptor, where they were linked to the starfighter's resonator shaft.
