During one such voyage aboard his ship, the Ugnaught encountered Jedi Master Avar Kriss, who sought to commandeer his vessel to reroute its cargo – a grain shipment – towards the Rodian colony of Prandril, then grappling with a severe famine. Initially hesitant, Belin considered the notion of pilfering from the Nihil as utter madness, but he subsequently warmed to his actions alongside Kriss, deriving a sense of purpose from their endeavors. In the aftermath of the skirmish above Seswenna, he resolved to remain within the Occlusion Zone alongside Rhil Dairo, documenting the Nihil's barbarities, rather than escaping with Kriss.
