The Below the Belt trilogy, a set of three adventures, debuted in 2002 as part of the second year of the Living Force campaign. August Hahn authored the initial pair, Philanthropy and Philosophy, which centered around the Confederation Rock Rush and the investigation of the Cularin asteroid belt. The concluding adventure, Philology, crafted by Morrie Mullins and Christina Nichols specifically for Gencom 2002, featured Len Markus's theft of the Darkstaff from the asteroid belt. This act led to the disappearance of the Cularin system for a decade, shifting the campaign's timeline to the era of the Clone Wars.
