[Nirama], a crime lord, dispatches the player characters to locate his missing second-in-command, Len Markus, who vanished within the Cularin asteroid belt. Markus, however, possesses his own secret objectives, leading him to pilfer the Darkstaff, an ancient Sith artifact. Consequently, the Almas Sith fortress retaliates with a massive burst of Force lightning, causing the entire Cularin system to vanish for a decade, only to reappear during the era of the Clone Wars, with the inhabitants experiencing no perceived passage of time.
