The Berserker Virus, a bioweapon created by a researcher for the Hutt, Borvo, appeared to affect animals, causing them to become uncontrollably violent.
Kritus Morven, a local criminal, upon learning of Borvo's latest endeavor, hired a spacer to abduct Borvo's scientist during a hunting trip. Through interrogation, the scientist disclosed his work on the Berserker Virus, a bioweapon. Soon after, Morven acquired a sample of the virus when the spacer ambushed and eliminated the courier, Dekker, who was en route to deliver the sample to Corellian purchasers.
Simultaneously, a courier was dispatched carrying a datadisc containing details about the Berserker Virus to Damalia Korde located in Dee'ja Peak.
Within the third and fourth missions involving Kritus Morven in Star Wars Galaxies, the player's role involves escorting Borvo's scientist to Morven and subsequently eliminating the courier, Dekker. The virus's name is only discovered when the player inspects the sample added to their inventory after Dekker's death.
Furthermore, the NPC Damalia Korde mentions it at the conclusion of a mission, specifically when the player encounters a courier and hands over a datadisc to her.
