Blackwing Flight, operating from the world of Viamarr 4, was a squadron comprised of Z-95 Headhunters.
When Night Caller made one of its regular visits to the planet, two TIE Fighters were deployed to perform a flyby over the capital, Velery. Unexpectedly, Blackwing Flight appeared, and Blackwing One instructed the TIE pilots to land at Velery Station. Unbeknownst to the planetary government, the New Republic starfighter group Wraith Squadron had seized control of Night Caller, and one of the TIE pilots was none other than the renowned Wedge Antilles. He and Falynn Sandskimmer, piloting the other TIE fighter, managed to evade Blackwing Flight without resorting to deadly force. The confrontation ended when Velery Station commanded Blackwing Flight to disengage.
