Blerx Tango was a musician of the Bith species, and identified as male. He famously led the Dewback Ramblers musical group during the era of the Galactic Civil War.
During the time of the Galactic Civil War, Blerx found employment on the nerf farm owned by the uncle of Domo Jones. A romantic connection developed between him and Domo, both of whom fell in love with JillJoo Jab, a Twi'lek waitress working at the cantina in Mos Zabu. Concurrently, Blerx undertook a performance tour across the planets of Dantooine and Orto. Sometime after this, Domo Jones made the decision to assist the Alliance to Restore the Republic by disrupting an Imperial acquisition of Nergon-14 proton torpedoes from the criminal figure Ep Gart. To achieve this, he recruited Blerx, JillJoo Jab, and the protocol droid known as UR-1. Together, the quartet successfully thwarted the Imperial scheme by orchestrating a stampede of nerfs through the location of the arms deal.

Following the Battle of Yavin, Blerx Tango and his band, the Dewback Ramblers, established their base of operations at the Lucky Star cantina situated in Mos Entha. As the band's leader, Tango's primary instrument was the kloo horn.
In the year 1 ABY, Blerx received word that Jakko Mixon, a fellow member of the band, had become stranded in the desert. Jakko had been deceived by a common swindle, believing he had secured an inexpensive ride to Bestine. Fortunately, Blerx was able to enlist the help of a spacer, who embarked on a mission to locate Jakko and safely return him to Mos Entha. However, the difficulties facing Blerx's band were far from over. Mellaw Doowon, their Ithorian player of the ommni box, required safe passage after an incident involving some ill-advised jokes directed at Imperial authorities. Once again, the spacer was called upon to find Mellaw and bring him back to Blerx. Unfortunately for the spacer, a stormtrooper intervened, preventing Mellaw's safe return. The stormtrooper initiated a firefight, compelling the spacer to eliminate the trooper. Yet the trials were not yet concluded. Another band member, Baze Joz, found himself in trouble after biting an agent of the Imperial Security Bureau. Undeterred, the spacer sought out Baze Joz, with the intention of bringing him back to Jakko. Upon approaching Baze, the spacer was ambushed by three Imperial sergeants. The spacer ultimately overcame the three sergeants, enabling him to safely return Baze home. In addition to the credits provided by Blerx as payment, the spacer was also presented with a nalargon in recognition of their services.
Blerx Tando's initial appearance was in the comic Nerf Herder, featured in Star Wars Tales 7, where he was only referred to as Blerx. Blerx, along with other characters from the comic, including JillJoo Jab and Domo Jones, were subsequently incorporated into the 2003 video game Star Wars Galaxies: An Empire Divided, a massively multiplayer online roleplaying game developed by Sony Online Entertainment and published by LucasArts, before its shutdown on December 15, 2011. Within the game, players who aligned themselves with the Rebel Alliance had the opportunity to assist Blerx in rescuing his three band members.
