The Utegetu Nebula Blockade represented a battle that occurred before the actual beginning of the Swarm War. The Galactic Alliance, commanded by Admiral Nek Bwua'tu, initially tried to stop the Colony's Killiks from expanding more into Chiss territory. Following this, Alliance troops made an effort to stop the Dark Nest from fleeing into open space. Even after its escape, the blockade was maintained throughout the Swarm War, confining numerous Killik units inside the Utegetu Nebula. One of the battles that resulted directly from the blockade was the Battle of the Murgo Choke.
