Hailing from Biivren, a relatively insignificant industrial planet situated in the Expansion Region, the Blood Razors were a swoop gang. They were established to provide aid to the marginalized population of the planet following the corporate takeover. Their main operation involved the trafficking of black market goods, disguised as swoop races.
Operating within the Karthakk system, located in the Outer Rim Territories, the Blood Razors engaged in piracy. They asserted control over a region of space referred to as the Crimson Talon, where they maintained a modest outpost. During space engagements, Blood Razors pilots utilized Kihraxz assault fighters, Ixiyen-class fast attack crafts and Rihkxyrk assault fighters. Rumors circulated regarding the Blood Razors' possession of radar technology capable of identifying specific codes employed by approaching vessels within their operational range.
The formation of the Blood Razors occurred on Biivren during the Imperial Period. Their purpose was to deliver a semblance of justice to the inhabitants of the industrial sector of the planet, which was under the control of corrupt Imperial and corporate entities. The gang was under the leadership of a swooper by the name of Shirro, with Vahcer serving as his second-in-command. The Blood Razors routinely conducted raids and looting operations on Imperial and corporate facilities, subsequently distributing the acquired goods among impoverished citizens.
The Blood Razors had been frequenting the Karthakk system for a considerable period before the Battle of Yavin. At one juncture, one of their transport ships experienced a crash landing on the planet Lok, situated within the Karthakk system. The criminals swiftly established operations on Lok, transforming their wrecked vessel into their primary base of operations on the planet. Captain Jorund Saleem was the leader of the Blood Razors operating on Lok.
The Blood Razors were also engaged in conflict with the Kimogila Fanatics. Following the Battle of Yavin, the Karthakk system, once characterized by its tranquility, descended into a state of warfare, thereby impeding the safe passage of civilians and freighters. The Kimogila pirates seized control of the Umber Scale region from the Blood Razors, compelling them to retreat to the opposite side of the Spine of Lok asteroid belt. Consequently, the Blood Razors only ventured beyond the confines of the Crimson Talon territory to launch attacks against the Kimogila Fanatics and undermine their expansion efforts.
The Blood Razors present on Lok were adversaries of both the Canyon Corsairs and Nym's Lok Revenants. During the year 1 ABY, the Blood Razors pilfered munitions from the Lok Revenants. In an endeavor to persuade Nym to lend assistance to the Rebel Alliance, Han Solo assigned Rebel operatives the task of locating and eliminating Mahar Spince, who had betrayed Nym by aiding the Blood Razors. Furthermore, the Rebel agents launched an assault on a Blood Razor base and killed the Blood Razor leader Jorund Saleem.
